Stenolophus (Stenolophus) plebejus Dejean 1829

Exact habitat unknown. These beetles are fully winged and probably fly. Only two examples were collected on the Island, in 1905 and 1907 (HSB). Another was collected from the Virginia shore in 1902 (HSB). The single specimen from Virginia is slightly teneral; it was collected in September. The others were collected in March and May. Hibernation probably takes place in the adult stage. Total length, 5.0 to 5.2 mm (5.1).
